Reliance delivers DNA and drug testing for police forces. Offenders arrested for any ‘trigger’ offences are tested for drug use by a Reliance Drug Intervention Officer.

Fully trained officers collect samples from detainees, though every member of the team can undertake training on both the practicalities of collecting and testing the samples and are well advised on the consequences for the detainee of a positive test. Processing of obtained samples is given high priority enabling the results to be communicated.
