Safe and secure youth transport

The Youth Justice Board (YJB) oversees the youth justice system in England and Wales. It works to prevent offending and reoffending by children and young people under the age of 18, and to ensure that custody for them is safe, secure and addresses the causes of their offending behaviour.

Since 1995, Reliance has provided the safe and secure transportation of youth offenders for the YJB, transporting over 2,000 people a year across the UK. Journeys include juveniles sentenced to detention and Training Orders, to and from courts, Secure Training Centres, Secure Children’s Homes and Young Offender Institutions. They can also include home visits, hospital appointments or emergencies, police custody to welfare placements and welfare movements.

Each specially adapted discrete vehicle is equipped with food, drinks and on board entertainment for long journeys. All our 100 plus staff are highly trained and experienced, with full certification and 20 year employment and enhanced CRB checks.
